Keep the Good Times Rolling in Downtown After the 2024 Classic Car Show

The Downtown Arlington Classic Car Show is this Saturday, June 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and it promises to be a spectacle of over 150 classic cars for an expected over 4,000 visitors to enjoy!

Along with these classic and antique automobiles, there will be games for the whole family, featuring pop-ups from two Downtown restaurants, live music at Knapp Heritage Park, and a display by UTA Racing.

This event wraps up early enough in the day to leave you with plenty of time to explore the rest of Downtown! Here’s activities to do after the classic car show depending on how you’re feeling.

1. Continue soaking up the sun and taking photos

Explore Downtown’s public art to keep the party outside! Taking pictures in front of Arlington’s coolest public art would make for the perfect Instagram recap after the car show. Lucky for you, we have just the thing for you: The Downtown Arlington Mural Tour!

Our Mural Tour is the perfect guide to experiencing the vibrant character of our downtown district in the most efficient and fulfilling way possible. We also have a list of bars, restaurants, and entertainment to check out along the way.

2. Try new, unique foods

If you don’t mind a little walk (and we do mean little as the drive is at most 5 minutes with red lights), then head south over the railroad tracks and enjoy even more delicious destinations like the ones listed below!

3. Unwind and cool off with a drink

After a full day outdoors strolling the streets of downtown and enjoying classic cars, you’ll probably want to sit down and enjoy a cold drink. Lucky for you, there is a plethora of options in walking distance from the car show.

Whether it’s the ambience, the music, or the menu, each location offers an extremely unique experience. Drink responsibly and remember to stay hydrated with plenty of water during the car show before heading for a drink.

4. Keep the good times rolling at Downtown’s entertainment destinations

If you’re a party animal and have energy left after the car show, there’s plenty of things to do to keep the good vibes going. You won't even have to leave the event site to see The Best of Motown and More at 3 p.m.. or Pure Prairie League at 8 p.m. at the Arlington Music Hall.

Just south of the car show, Levitt Pavilion will be hosting a free concert. Vanita Leo will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. with Jamie DeAnda following at 8:30 p.m. Enjoy live music on the lawn along with food and beverages from the Levitt’s vendors!

Located down the street from the Vandergriff Town Center is Lone Star Axe Throwing, where you can throw axes while enjoying some good food and drinks. Further down Front Street, if your muscles can handle the challenge, is Dyno-Rock Indoor Climbing Center, an indoor rock-climbing center featuring a 16,000-square-foot climbing surface open to all ages.

A short drive away is Free Play Arcade, a retro arcade featuring all the best throwback games for you to relive your childhood while sipping on some good beer.
