What's Next in Downtown Arlington: February Monthly Update
Downtown Arlington has been buzzing with activity, and as we move into March, there's even more to look forward to! Here's a look back at the past month and a preview of what's coming next.
In Review
February's Rotary Dream Park Photo Contest brought out incredible talent, and the winners have been announced! From stunning sunset shots to creative perspectives, these photos showcased the heart and artistry of our community. Congratulations to all who participated and to the winners whose images were featured across Downtown Arlington’s platforms!

Love was in the air on Valentine's Day as couples and friends gathered for a memorable night out. From romantic dinners to fun group outings, downtown’s restaurants, cafes, and entertainment venues were the perfect spots to celebrate love and friendship. Live music, specials and events made the evening even more special.
Looking Ahead
The excitement continues with the March First Thursdays on March 6! This month’s lineup of art installations includes:
- Wooden O, an interactive adventure by Brave Little Company: Held at City Center Plaza, this interactive, sensory experience for ages 3-6 brings Shakespeare to life with music, modern text, and a quest to find a mysterious flower. Performances at 5pm and 6pm, lasting 45 minutes. Thank you to the Texas Commission on the Arts for their funding support in bringing Brave Little Company to our event programming.
- Interactive Music Exhibit: Join the Interactive Music Exhibit outside Inclusion Coffee (or indoors if weather’s bad) for a unique interactive music experience. In groups of six, you’ll use simple controllers to create your own unique music with friends!

- Live Glass Blowing with Grey Area Studio: Head to Division Brewing for live glassblowing demos by Grey Area Studio! Watch molten glass become art while you enjoy a craft brew and pizza on the GROWL patio.
Get ready for a green-filled celebration as St. Patrick’s Day approaches! J. Gilligan’s massive annual celebration is sure to be filled with live music, green beer and hundreds of attendees. The rest of Downtown Arlington is planning festive events, including themed parties and special promotions at local businesses. Plus, Spring Break is the perfect time to explore downtown, enjoy outdoor spaces, and make the most of live entertainment and dining specials.

Dog lovers rejoice! Downtown Arlington’s new off-leash dog park, The Doggie Depot, is having its ribbon-cutting at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13. The park will then be officially open to the public after the event.
This pet-friendly space is designed for dogs of all sizes to run, play and socialize while their owners enjoy a relaxing and community-focused atmosphere. The Doggie Depot features shaded seating, agility equipment and water stations to keep pups happy and hydrated. Be sure to check the custom messages on the brick path, and let your four-legged friends enjoy a new downtown adventure!
A special thank you to the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, General Motors and all the generous donors and supporters who made this new park possible!
