Congrats Dream Photo Contest winners! Photos featured at First Thursdays

First of all, thank you to EVERYONE who submitted incredible photos to our Dream Photo Contest. Each photo across all categories represented the beauty of the new Rotary Dream Park and the DREAM Sculpture. The community and art in Downtown Arlington shined through each submission. And now.... here are our winners! 

The winner in the Playful category is... A. Pierce!! This photo professionally captured the playful and family-friendly spirit of the park and Downtown Arlington as a whole in a creative way. See the amazing photo submission below. 

The winner in the Romantic category is... Gabe Rivas!! The “Dream Couple” from one of our previous blogs made an impactful appearance in this contest with this dreamy still. See the amazing photo submission below. 

The winner in the Sunrise/Sunset category is... Alyssa Fuller!! The Rotary Dream Park not only features the massive DREAM Sculpture, but it's also home to the magnificent “Boundless” statue, which is perfectly highlighted in this photo. See the beautiful submission below. 

The overall, grand prize winner of $500 in the Family category is... Laura Ramos!!  This photo perfectly captured the youthful spirit and future of Downtown Arlington with a sweet focal point. See the amazing photo submission below. 

We also have a wonderful Honorable Mention submission by... Mark Tamez! 

The overall grand prize winner receives $500, and the other three winners will get $100 each. Winners will be emailed with instructions on how to receive their prize. Any other participants may see their photos used in future Downtown Arlington content. 

First Thursdays 

Now, be sure to come out to our monthly First Thursdays on Feb. 6 for the Rotary Dream Park Photography Exhibit & Open House at the new SFC building. Explore the new Sutton Frost Cary space with an open house featuring historical photos of old Arlington and a photography exhibit displaying the winning pieces from our Rotary Dream Park Photo Contest. 

This First Thursdays will include much more arts and cultural events like Live Ice Sculpting at the Rotary Dream Park and a Guided Drum Circle with Drum One, Drum All.
