Hey UTA Mavericks, welcome to downtown! Whether you’re returning to familiar halls or stepping foot on campus for the first time, we’re thrilled to have you here. And to make your first few days as seamless (and fun) as possible, Downtown Arlington is ready and waiting. From cozy coffee shops to late-night bites, creative hangouts to chill study spots, your new neighborhood has it all. Let’s explore! 

Great Eats 

Nothing says campus life like grabbing a bite with friends. Hungry for comfort food? Downtown has options for every craving and budget from late-night pizza at Zio Al’s (open until 3 a.m.) to wood-fired Italian pizza at Cane Rosso. Dive into some local favorites like Los Molcas Tacos, Kintaro Ramen, Hurtado Barbecue and J. Gilligan’s Bar & Grill, each just a walk away. 

Caffeine and Chill 

Need a caffeine fix or a calm place to study? Downtown has you covered. Kickstart your morning or study session at Inclusion Coffee, Kung Fu Tea, White Rhino or Salter Bros. Coffee Roasters — cozy, convenient and perfect for staying focused or hanging out with new friends.  

Beyond the Classroom 

Looking to unwind? Explore local hotspots like Tokyo Station Arcade, Cidercade, or catch live tunes at Arlington Music Hall, Theatre Arlington or Levitt Pavilion. Getting Around 

Navigating downtown is a breeze. Whether you're headed to class, a coffee shop or heading back after a night out, Arlington On-Demand, RAPID Autonomous Vehicle Service, UTA’s Safe Ride Home and the Mav Mover shuttle are here to make sure you travel safely and conveniently (late-night services run until 3 a.m.). Look for students discounts! Let’s keep everyone moving safely.
