Pair your take out with a lovely outdoor park, nook, or seating area in Downtown, and you've instantly got yourself an urban picnic getaway!

This week, we're thinking about a picnic of delicious fried chicken and a couple crawfish poor boy sandwiches. And we know exactly where to go:

 The BEST chicken tenders and THE CORN!! I'm a big guy that loves to eat, and the all-you-can-eat sides keep me very happy as well as the portion size. I can't complain about anything here! Our server Trey was the bomb and very on top of his game, the establishment was clean, their COVID procedures were some of the best, everyone had on a mask. Flying Fish

 On our Zoom meeting with our Sunday school class, someone mentioned they had gone to Flying Fish and it made me want to get a delivery tonight. I am very very impressed. Not only are the grilled Tilapia fish tacos fresh, hot and amazing, they also sent rice and beans, a huge order and some coleslaw, and all the sauces I can want for my fish so I have a variety. Hershey's Palace

 The establishment was spotless, and the customer service was A1...The menu is broad and offers certain varieties you wouldn't expect to see together, for example, soul food and pizza...And the greens? I was speechless. I devoured the BEST greens I've ever had in my life. I wanted to drive back and slap the owner for sticking his foot in these greens. Y'all, he got that recipe from his , mee maw, nanna or somebody. It's an oldddddd school recipe seriously. If anyone knows the owners, tell them to contact me with the recipe. - Mel M. on Yelp

Center Street pocket park 

Across Center Street from Arlington Music Hall and nestled between two murals -- Historic Arlington on the Vandergriff Building and Old School on Legendz Classic Barbershop -- you'll find a green space with eclectic charm. A couple benches here, a classic car there, and plenty of room for your picnic blanket.
