Good Guys Finish First: Sanford House Inn & Spa

Gratitude is a beautiful way to say, “I love you.”

This time last year, as a way to commemorate its 25th anniversary in Downtown Arlington, Sanford House Inn & Spa made a promise to perform 25 acts of kindness. 

Throughout the year, the Sanford House team provided snacks for a Rotary Club of Arlington blood drive; gathered books and board games for an Arlington Public Library Foundation donation drive; organized a “Cones for Cops” event in partnership with Arlington Police Department; and served hot chocolate to the Kooken Educational Center community. 

“This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the community, because without this community, we wouldn’t be here,” said Valerie Landry, General Manager of the Sanford House.

Sanford House named DFW's most romantic hotel

They say that what you put out into the world comes back to you. Just as we're saying hello to 2023, the good cheer they shared throughout 2022 has come back to Sanford House in the form of a #1 ranking by USA Today: 10 Best.

A family affair for 25 years (and counting)

Feature image: In December 2022, the Sanford House received a congratulatory resolution from Tarrant County Commissioner Devan Allen in honor of their 25th anniversary. Sharon Bergstrom, pictured, attended the recognition. The Sanford House exists today because Sharon and her husband Leonard envisioned a little bed and breakfast as a retirement project. Over the years, the property has grown and evolved, and today, their daughter, Dr. Joan Bergstrom, is the owner, and their granddaughter Valerie Landry is the General Manager.
