Join us July 20 for the Downtown Arlington Annual Meeting and Luncheon

Gears of Progress, the theme for the 2022 Downtown Arlington Annual Meeting, celebrates the unique interconnections and momentum driving the creativity, innovation, energy, and progress in Downtown!

Presented by Texas Trust Credit Union, our Annual Meeting will be held in the Bluebonnet Ballroom at UT Arlington on Wednesday, July 20 from 11:30am – 2:00pm. Now’s the time to get your individual tickets or reserve a table of eight now. Don’t miss our all-star line-up!

Gear up for Gears of Progress

Our program includes a panel discussion, led by DAMC President and CEO Maggie Campbell. Panelists include Arlington Mayor Jim Ross and Dr. Jennifer Cowley, newly appointed President of the University of Texas at Arlington. They’ll discuss the significance of major milestones achieved in Downtown throughout the last 20 years – including the Levitt Pavilion, College Park District, Abram Street revitalization, Urban Union, UT Arlington’s Tier One status, and more – plus they’ll discuss ongoing investments and how we’ll further activate our community’s vision in keeping with the Downtown Arlington Master Plan.

Another highlight of our Annual Meeting will be the presentation of our Legendary Lionheart Award, Golden Lantern Award, and the highly-anticipated Dream Builder Award, which honors outstanding leadership and contributions to the community. Who do you think will be honored this year? At last year’s annual meeting, we were proud to recognize Wally Hardin with the Man's Shop, Arlington Life Shelter, and our 2021 Dream Builder, former Mayor Jeff Williams for their contributions to Downtown Arlington and our City.

Make sure you arrive a little early, because before lunch begins, you’ll want to take a stroll through our Downtown history walk. This installation highlights the years of progress in Downtown from the city’s earliest days, and how our district continues to drive innovation for our future.

Honoring Maverick Excellence and Downtown Leadership

If you haven’t been on campus since the pandemic, you’ll be blown away by UTA’s recent renovation of the University Center and Bluebonnet Ballroom. In honor of our 2022 Annual Meeting host, be sure to wear your best UTA blue and orange to show off your Maverick pride! During our program, we’re also planning a special salute to all UT Arlington alumni whose businesses and creative practices are located in Downtown Arlington.
