Downtown Arlington Unites Under One Brand

History tells us that for nearly as long as there’s been an Arlington, Texas, there’s been a Downtown Arlington, Texas. All kinds of people – merchants, hoteliers, educators, adventurers, preachers, farmers, and more – were drawn by great location, access to transportation, natural resources (including a mineral well), and means to grow the economy.

Today, all kinds of people are rediscovering, reinvigorating and readying Downtown Arlington for a big, bold and bright future, much as the founders did over 130 years ago.

“It’s hard to imagine what our founders would think of Downtown today,” said Maggie Campbell, President and CEO of Downtown Arlington, “but I suspect they would feel a sense of wonder and gratitude that so many people are coming together to reclaim the heart of their City. I also think our founders would be very, very proud.”

In keeping with that entrepreneurial spirit, this week Downtown Arlington launched a new brand identity, including a new logo. This unified identity – one that the district and its governing management corporation will share – is driven by a commitment to Downtown Arlington as a place where “creativity, authenticity, and hometown pride thrive and drive what's next."

“We’re very excited to introduce a new look and feel for Downtown Arlington, one that reflects the timeless, inclusive and bold energy behind our continued prosperity,” said Campbell. “Our district is the quintessential example of the ‘whole is greater than the sum of its parts.’ Given how unique and special each and every part is in Downtown, that’s really saying something.”
