Presented by Texas Trust Credit Union, the Downtown Arlington Annual Meeting will be held in the Bluebonnet Ballroom at UT Arlington on Wednesday, July 20 from 11:30am – 2:00pm. In addition to the presentation of our leadership award winners, we'll look into the future of Downtown Arlington with our featured guests, Arlington Mayor Jim Ross and the newly appointed president of the University of Texas at Arlington, Dr. Jennifer Cowley.

Panel Discussion: Downtown's Past, Present, and Future

Our featured guests, Mayor Jim Ross and UTA President Jennifer Cowley, will join DAMC President and CEO Maggie Campbell for our featured panel discussion and Q&A. Together, they’ll discuss the significance of major milestones achieved in Downtown Arlington throughout the last 20 years, plus they’ll discuss what makes Downtown so unique.

Topics they’ll explore are the long-standing partnership between Downtown Arlington, the City of Arlington and UTA; past, present and future collaborations to accelerate economic development; improving connectivity within Downtown; promoting the arts as drivers of prosperity; and the ongoing commitment to nurturing a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in Downtown Arlington.

Recognizing Visionary Leadership

Another highlight of the Downtown Arlington Annual Meeting will be the presentation of our Legendary Lionheart Award, Golden Lantern Award, and the highly-anticipated Dream Builder Award, which honors outstanding leadership and contributions to the community.

During our program, we'll also honor and remember our great friend, a true game-changer for our city and Downtown Arlington, Michael Jarrett.
