This summer was the second hottest summer on record, behind 2011. Day after day, temperatures continued to climb over 100 degrees until being outdoors became completely unbearable. Now, it’s time to praise and rejoice, for that excessive heat has come to an end (for now)!
With Fall right around the corner, temperatures have finally reached “I can walk to my mailbox without breaking a sweat” levels, and we couldn’t be more excited. This time of year, we’re finding any excuse to be outdoors, so here’s your guide to all the great spaces in Downtown Arlington to help you take advantage of this beautiful weather. And the best part is you can bring your best pal with you!
Graze and Star Gaze
Downtown Arlington has a variety of great food options for everybody. From tacos to burgers to barbecue to pizza, we got it all and that’s only scratching the surface. In addition to the delicious dishes these destinations have to offer, they also provide good vibes and gorgeous scenery. Downtown Arlington offers several restaurants with outdoor seating where you can try something new, surrounded by falling leaves, cool breeze, and dancing trees. As a bonus, Tipsy Oak, Cartel Taco Bar, J. Gilligan’s, and Grease Monkey frequently offer free live music. Once you clear your plate, be sure to get up on your feet and sway to the rhythm of the trees.

After you finish eating, let the fun officially begin! If you didn't know, many of Downtown's bar, breweries, and pubs have spacious outdoor seating with many doubling as a pet-friendly environment. Although your furry companion can't grab a cold one with you, they'd just be happy tagging along and spending quality time with you. And because our bars and restaurants don't stop at the bare minimum, several of these bars regularly hosts live music acts to sip and sway to, including Binions Ice House and Division Brewing.

Although, Inclusion Coffee does not have any outdoor seating, this venue is completely pet-friendly upstairs and downstairs! Grab your puppy and a coffee and come hang out with other students and residents in Downtown Arlington. Their menu also has special items dedicated to feeding your best friends with delicious drinks and snacks of their own.
Union Worx Coworking is another great spot to hangout with your doggies when you don’t want to leave them at home. If you’re tired of working from home and you need a change of scenery, fear not, for now it is possible to get work done and still play with your canine companion.
The Levitt Pavilion’s fall 2023 season is now in full swing! From country to jazz to Tejano, this outdoor venue has it all. Pick up your lawn chairs, park your wagons, and lay out your picnic blankets for a beautiful night under the stars. If you bring your furry friends, please make sure they are well-behaved and clean up after them.
Where you go, the pups go too. That’s why several downtown businesses have opened their doors and patios for you and your tail-wagging buddy to sit back, relax, and have a good time.
