Music, movement and creativity at First Thursdays in Downtown Arlington on April 2
Mark your calendar for Thursday, April 2, from 5 to 8 p.m., as Downtown Arlington comes alive with music, art and community during First Thursdays, a monthly district-wide celebration in the Downtown Cultural District.
Whether you're planning a night out with friends, exploring with family or just looking for something new to do, April’s event brings energy to every corner of downtown.
Interactive Drum Circle at City Center Plaza
Feel the rhythm at this month’s featured attraction, an interactive community drum circle led by UTA alum David Cox of Rhythm Path Interactive Drumming.
From 5 to 8 p.m., guests of all ages can jump in, try out different drums and be part of a shared musical experience. No experience or equipment is needed. Just stop by, find your beat and join the fun.
Ramazinis Circus Extravaganza at Rotary DREAM Park

Head to Rotary DREAM Park for a high-energy circus performance featuring acrobatics, juggling, comedy and aerial silks.
Shows take place at 5:15 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy this family-friendly experience on the lawn.
Downtown Lens Photo Walk with Arlington Camera
Capture the energy of First Thursdays during a guided photo walk through downtown. Open to all skill levels and camera types, this experience begins at City Center Plaza at 5 p.m. and includes tips for shooting dynamic street scenes.
Participants can also enter a follow-up photo contest for a chance to win a gift card. Registration is required.
Live Pottery Demo at Division Brewing

Get an up-close look at the art of pottery with a live demonstration by artist Landon Palmer at Division Brewing. Watch as clay is shaped on the wheel into functional pieces while you relax on the patio with food and drinks.
Live Music and Performances Across Downtown

Music will be everywhere throughout the evening.
Street Sounds, part of Arlington Amplified, brings local musicians to sidewalks and storefronts across downtown, creating a lively atmosphere as you explore. Downtown Sounds adds even more live performances throughout the district.
At Theatre Arlington, enjoy The Steve and Don Show featuring American songbook classics, guest performers and interactive trivia from 5 to 8 p.m. Guests can come and go throughout the performance.

You can also catch the high-energy UTA Drumline at 6 p.m. at Rotary DREAM Park, followed by pop-up performances moving through the district.
Movie Music Night at Arlington Music Hall

Continue your evening at Arlington Music Hall with Symphony Arlington’s Great Movie Scores Quiz at 7:30 p.m. This interactive concert features iconic film scores, live orchestra performances and audience trivia with prizes. Tickets start at $5.

More than 30 Downtown Arlington businesses are joining April First Thursdays with special events, including:
- Grand opening celebration at StarrStruck Studio & Gallery
- Lotería night at Mama Cuca’s
- Easter-inspired activities including egg hunts at Amore Mio and Goldilink’s, egg painting at Kung Fu Teaand bunny photo ops at Lacquer Box Nail Salon
- Live music at J. Gilligan’s and Commodities, karaoke at Odyssey Barbershop and Truth’s Serum, and interactive art experiences at the Downtown Arlington Library and Mosaic Market
