Whether you come for the parade or stay for the cheer, here’s how to holiday in Downtown Arlington this season.
2025 Arlington Holiday Lights Parade
The star of the season is the Arlington Holiday Lights Parade, happening this Saturday evening, Dec. 13.
Here’s what to expect:
- Festivities start at 2 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library with indoor “Reindeer Games” including crafts, games, a chance to meet Santa and family-friendly fun.
- Holiday activities take place from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Levitt Pavilion. Activities include the annual Miss Persis Elf Show, a vendor market offering seasonal gifts from local vendors until 9 p.m. and a youth musical spotlight showcase.
- The Downtown Holiday Lights Parade officially kicks off at 6 p.m. at the intersection of College and South streets and loops through downtown.
- The parade wraps with a holiday tree lighting, as the city’s 65-foot Christmas tree is illuminated by Mayor Jim Ross and Santa Claus at Founders Plaza following the parade.
- Santa and Mrs. Claus plan to stick around after the parade and will be available for pictures at the Levitt Pavilion. It’s a great opportunity for family photos and holiday memories!
This free, community-wide event is a wonderful way to gather friends, family and neighbors, and enjoy the kickoff of the holiday season together.
