The Oasis of Creativity: Downtown Arlington Launches Creator Club
“In today’s digital climate, it’s important to construct your message in a way that clearly connects with your target audience. Video is becoming an increasingly important business tool due to its ability to capture authentic voices and emotion—facilitating engagement with important topics.”
Keira Baker, Entrepreneur
In Downtown Arlington, we’re so lucky to have so many authentic, interesting and engaging stories to tell! Creating compelling video content should be a top priority throughout our district, and with the launch of our Creator Club this week, robust production toolkits are now within everyone’s grasp.
Introducing the new Downtown Arlington Creator Club
The Downtown Arlington Creator Club puts professional video and audio equipment in the hands of entrepreneurs, artists and creative content makers.
For a one-time membership fee of $25, Downtown Arlington Creator Club members get access to six different Creator Kits, which are comprised of professional equipment, resources, and training to help vitalize brands and share compelling stories. Creator Kits are designed to be fun and accessible for those who want to dive right in to video production or just want to dip their toes in beginner-level media.
“Video has the innate ability to amplify even the simplest event and elevate any brand,” said Garret Martin, Community Development Manager for Downtown Arlington. “The great thing about the Downtown Arlington Creator Kits is that they are really easy to learn how to use.”
Once you become a member of the Creator Club, you can rent a creator kit for three days. Rental fees are very reasonable--between $10-$75 depending on the kit--so that these tools are accessible for both new and experienced creators.
Elevate Your Story, Elevate Your Brand
With the launch of the Creator Club, Downtown Arlington is excited to play a role in strengthening the abilities of aspiring video content creators! Creator Club members can rent the necessary equipment to make:
- Short Films
- Podcasts
- Social Content
- Live Streaming
- Music Production
- Event in a Box
In addition to Creator Kit access, Creator Club members receive benefits including a listing on the Downtown Arlington website and invites to social and educational events.

Creator Kits Origin Story
Thanks in part to a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts, Downtown Arlington launched an earlier version of the Creator Kits program during the thick of the pandemic. In its original form, a road streaming kit was made available to Downtown Arlington cultural partners as a way to mitigate the devastating economic impact of social distancing. The concept for the streaming kit, which was buoyed by the 2021 Arts Economic Impact Study, came directly from stakeholder feedback collected during Downtown Arlington's comprehensive Shared Arts Feasibility Study in 2020.
“During the peak months of the pandemic, we learned a lot about the value of and technical requirements for producing good streaming content,” said Maggie Campbell, President and CEO of Downtown Arlington. “The Live at the Levitt series in particular showed us that the shelf life of quality content is measured in months and years, not minutes and hours. Great video also allows artists and arts organizations to reach beyond geographic boundaries to new patrons and fans.”
