The 2024 Downtown Arlington Annual Meeting is quickly approaching! Mark your calendars for September 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in UTA’s Bluebonnet Ballroom. Sponsorship table sales are open now. Individual ticket sales will go on sale September 1.
Each year, we award three prestigious awards at our Annual Meeting to deserving individuals or organizations making a positive impact in the Downtown Arlington community. Nominations for the "Dream Builder" Award, Presented by Texas Trust are open now! The Legendary Lionheart and The Golden Lantern awards will also be presented at our Annual Meeting, but do not require nominations.
Beginning in 2016, the pinnacle Dream Builder Award, Presented by Texas Trust has been Downtown’s greatest honor and recognizes the highest contributions made towards the revitalization of Downtown Arlington. The 2023 Dream Builder was Alan Petsche, who has changed the face of our community as a UTA Distinguished Alumni, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Fort Worth/Arlington Chapter Gala Honoree, and Medal of Honor Museum Founder. His passion for music has informed many of his business ventures, such as supporting the Levitt Pavilion, the arts, UTA, and the creation of Kirk Franklin's recording studio. The previous "Dream Builder" honorees include Tom Cravens, Lana Wolff, Patti Diou, Terry Bertrand, Ryan Dodson, Mayor Jeff Williams, and Michael Jarrett.
