Nice to Meet You! Introducing Joe Boston, Downtown Arlington Board of Directors
As the governing body for the Downtown Arlington Business Improvement District (BID), our Board of Directors represents the diverse interests found within our vibrant community. Each member of our Board brings incredible insights to our planning and programming, and we're proud to serve beside them.
In our Q&A series, Nice to Meet You, we're pleased to introduce you to each of our Directors. Today, meet Joe Boston of the North Texas Investment Group.
Downtown Arlington: What do you like most about Downtown Arlington?
Joe Boston: The things I like most about Downtown Arlington are:
- Entertainment!
- Location! Particularly its location in relation to major highways and only 15 minutes from the DFW Airport
- Revived! Restaurants, venues and roads
DA: Name a leader in our community who inspires you.
Joe: Ms. Tilly at Mission Arlington, for her daily devotion to giving and tireless attitude for people in need
DA: What is your favorite Downtown building or place?
Joe: The George W. Hawkes Downtown Library
DA: What makes your business unique?
Joe: Dallas REIG is a training center for real estate investors who want hands-on experience. We are the only location that teaches new construction along with other topics such as fix'n'flip, rental properties, and small multi-family properties.
DA: What inspired you to get involved in Downtown Arlington?
Joe: I purchased a building six years ago in Downtown Arlington, and decided to help the area improve.
DA: Outside of your business, what are some of your personal passions or hobbies?
Joe: Pickle ball, tennis, sports and travel
DA: When you're out for drinks in Downtown, what is your favorite cocktail or hot beverage and where is your favorite spot to order it?
Joe: The Tipsy Oak and Cane Rosso
DA: When you think about a bright future for Downtown, what one thing do you think will contribute most to its long-term success?
Joe: Public interaction and entertainment
DA: What's your Texas Rangers walk-on song?
Joe: I'm stumped! How about U Can't Touch This by MC Hammer?
