Team Up With Mission Arlington and Deliver Love During the Holidays

To warmly welcome the season of giving, Mission Arlington in Downtown Arlington is once again inviting volunteers to participate in two long-standing traditions of epic proportions: their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive and The Christmas Store. We invite you to join them in sharing love and kindness with local families in need.

Thanksgiving Food Drive and Delivery

On Thanksgiving morning, November 25, beginning at 8:00 a.m., Mission Arlington volunteers deliver Thanksgiving meals including turkeys, hams, food baskets, and cooked meals to the homes of more than 6,000 families (27,000 people).

How You Can Help

You can donate food including turkeys, hams, stuffing mix, canned fruit, canned sweet potatoes, canned pie filling, cranberry sauce, box/mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, beans/rice, tuna, peanut butter, rolls, pie crust, or anything that goes with a Thanksgiving meal.

You can sort donations. Help Mission Arlington pack and prepare Thanksgiving baskets, plus receive, sort, and organize incoming donations.

You can deliver. Arrive at the Mission office by 8:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning to deliver food to families in need.

The Christmas Store

The Mission Arlington Christmas Store embraces the spirit of giving by allowing parents who are struggling financially to "shop" for toys and gift items for their children. The Store opens daily from December 11 through December 22, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (excluding Sundays). It will also be open on Wednesday, December 23 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

How You Can Help

You can donate gifts. Please bring unwrapped gifts (wrapping paper and tape help too!) to Mission Arlington anytime between now and Christmas Eve. Gift items should be suitable for children up to age 17. For gift ideas, visit their website or purchase directly from their Amazon Wish List.

You can sort donations. Between now and Dec. 11, volunteers are needed to help receive, sort, stock, and organize gift donations.

You can volunteer to work in the Christmas Store. Once the store opens, volunteers are needed to help parents find gifts, restock inventory, wrap gifts, and more.

If you want to bring a group, call ahead at 817-277-6620 and Mission Arlington will add your team to their volunteer schedule.

Bikes for Mission Arlington

Although not directly affiliated with Mission Arlington, Bikes for Mission Arlington collects donations of children's bicycles and helmets to give to the Mission Arlington Christmas Store. An idea that started in 2007 with just two dads and their kids, over the years Bikes for Mission Arlington has donated more than 15,000 bicycles to Store. Visit their website for more information about donating and delivering bikes and helmets on Dec. 11.
