First Thursdays returns for November with even more local fun

Following an incredible October launch, Downtown Arlington is thrilled to invite you to the second edition of First Thursdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 7! This evening of community, art, music, and interactive activities has something for everyone.

With family-friendly events and live entertainment, First Thursdays is quickly becoming a must-attend monthly event in Downtown Arlington!

Live Entertainment

In addition to special events, First Thursdays brings local musicians and performers to the sidewalks of Downtown to keep the energy high throughout the evening. Enjoy mariachi music from UTA’s Mariachi Band, live street life sketches by Haley Walton, chalk art by Mary Dooley, live performances from artists like Katsük, Jorge Vargas (saxophone), Chy Tea, and Alejandro Terra, and personalized poetry from The Party Poet. This poet will do live poetry writing on the public sidewalk at Abram and Center Streets and bring typewriters for attendees to type personalized poems.

With such a diverse range of activities, First Thursdays is a night to remember for locals, visitors and businesses alike.

“First Thursdays was a blast! It was awesome getting the chance to participate in the Downtown Arlington nightlife,” said The Mosaic Market owner Melina Wikoff. “Folks enjoyed the art project, and we gained new customers just discovering us for the first time. I think it will just grow and grow!”

Here’s a look at some of the unique experiences to help you plan your evening for November’s Frist Thursdays:
