UTA Backpacks by Brothers Supply Drive at Blaze's Sports Grill

The Kappa Sigma Fraternity at the University of Texas at Arlington is sponsoring Backpack By Brothers, a service event in which members collect donations to purchase and assemble backpacks for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington to distribute at its End of Summer Event.  Backpacks will be provided to households with students in K-6 grades who have limited means to obtain suitable school supplies. 

For every $20 collected, a student will receive a school supply bundle which includes a backpack containing: a binder, glue, scissors, mechanical pencils, pens, a ruler, crayons, and notebook paper. The goal is to raise enough for 80 backpacks which will outfit each of the students at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Arlington’s Shadow Brook location

Kappa Sigma has met their fundraising goal of $1,600 but they are still accepting donations and will present the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington with a check for all additional donations that come in. 

Cash and supply donations will be accepted at Blaze's Sports Grill (593 Spaniolo Dr., Arlington, TX 76010) on Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
