Three Awesome Ways the Levitt Pavilion is Doing Good this Fall

If filling the night air with FREE live music wasn't enough, the Levitt Pavilion in Downtown Arlington is looking ahead to a fall season full of doing good for the community in new and wonderful ways. Here are just three of our sure-to-be favorites:

Arlington Gives! + North Texas Giving Day
featuring The Brad Thompson Band
presented by the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation and Levitt Pavilion
Thursday, September 22 at 6:00 p.m.

In partnership with the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation and the Communities Foundation of Texas, the Levitt Pavilion is once again hosting the city's annual Arlington Gives! event in conjunction with North Texas Giving Day! Come early to support your favorite Arlington non-profit organizations and enjoy an evening of free, live music featuring Brad Thompson with Emmeline.

Brad Thompson

Grand Prairie native Brad Thompson and wrote his first song at 13. Together with his bandmates, The Brad Thompson Band always give their all, and love performing for cities, non-profits, schools, and fundraisers to help the community connect through music.

Emmeline

Called a “piano-focused Joni Mitchell” by DFW’s Ghost of Blind Lemon blog and “a must-see Texas artist” by the Dallas Morning News, Emmeline’s jazzy take on folk-pop delivers detailed, heartfelt stories about love, loss, hope, perseverance, and triumph in the face of adversity. Emmeline is presented as a part of the Levitt's Share the Stage initiative. The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation is the presenting sponsor of this year's Share the Stage performances.

About Arlington Gives! and North Texas Giving Day

North Texas Giving Day was created by the Communities Foundation of Texas to amplify the work of the region's nonprofits. The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2022, began partnering with CFT in 2014 to help Arlington's non-profits leverage the event to mobilize their supporters and increase their positive impact on our community. Today, Arlington Gives! is by far the largest and most impactful NTX Giving Day effort by any city in the North Texas region.

Do Good Fest featuring Gangstagrass

in support of Parkland Health's Pediatric Behavioral Health Program
Friday, October 7 at 7 p.m.

Want to do good while you're having a good time? Join the Levitt Pavilion for the recently announced and first-ever Texas version of the Do Good Fest. This wildly successful event, sponsored by The National Life Group Foundation, will benefit Parkland Health’s Pediatric Behavioral Health Program. This program provides mental health screenings and services to uninsured/underinsured kids.

“National Life has always been purpose-driven,” said Beth Rusnock, President of the National Life Group Foundation, “Helping protect children and families is what we do. That’s why supporting children’s mental health is a focus of ours. We’re excited to introduce Texas to Do Good Fest so we can come together to celebrate and support kids.”

The Do Good Fest will feature a concert headlined by Gangstagrass, an Emmy-nominated team of bluegrass hip-hop pioneers founded in Brooklyn. The innovative artists are best known for their hit single, "Long Hard Times to Come," the theme song for the acclaimed FX drama Justified. Food trucks, a non-profit village, VIP experience, and other activities will also be a part of the event. While admission is free, guests are encouraged to make a donation to the Parkland Foundation on site or online. Information can be found at DoGoodFest.com and on our event calendar.
