This Fall, Knapp is Where It's At

This Fall, Downtown Arlington presents the perfect opportunities to bring a little harmony to your mornings and a little music to your evenings out: Knapp Yoga and Songwriter Circle! To set the stage for these gatherings, there's no better place than Arlington's unique and historic time machine, Knapp Heritage Park in Downtown Arlington.

Knapp Yoga

Knapp Yoga, a Downtown Arlington health and wellness series that's free and open to all, takes place every other Saturday from 9-10 a.m. through November 19, 2022 at Knapp Heritage Park. The dates are October 8 and 22, and November 5 and 19. Please bring your own mat and water. Leading Knapp Yoga is one of Arlington's biggest superfans, the effervescent Marissa Soto.

Downtown Arlington Songwriter Circle

Downtown Arlington's new music series, Songwriter Circle, brings together old and new friends for the love of unplugged music. Local music fans will take turns hosting a group of musicians, singing and picking their own tunes and songs we all know around a campfire.

Do play an instrument? Bring it along and join the circle. Every session is open mic.

This free, weekly campfire singalong series is held every Wednesday in November. Sessions starts at sunset, which is around 6:30 p.m. before the time changes and 5:30 p.m. after. You're welcome to BYOB and BYO picnic.

One thing. You need to take the Songwriter Circle oath. Please promise to follow these three simple rules:

  1. Call your chords - its a circle, not a stage. The fun is in the participation!
  2. No amplified sounds
  3. No bystanders - you gotta participate in the music!

Maggie Campbell will host the first Songwriter Circle on November 2 at 6:30 p.m. Find out who our next hosts will be and learn more about the series through our Facebook and Instagram feeds.
