Celebrate July 4th 

Light Up Arlington 

Light Up Arlington returns to Downtown Arlington on Thursday, July 3 with live music, family activities, local food vendors and a fireworks spectacular over City Tower to end the night. Taking over all of downtown and encompassing City Hall and the Levitt Pavilion, this free Independence Day celebration is one of North Texas’ biggest and best. 

Independence Day Parade 

The 2025 Independence Day Parade marches through downtown at 9 a.m. Friday, July4, celebrating its 60th anniversary with the theme “Shining Bright Since ’65”. As the largest Fourth of July parade in Texas and one of the most celebrated in the nation, it features 120 entries from colorful floats and historic antique cars to spirited marching bands. This beloved, all-volunteer event draws nearly 75,000 spectators and will be led by Grand Marshal Chris Cassidy, President and CEO of the National Medal of Honor Museum. 

Kids Zone 

  • Tokyo Station- Just steps from downtown Arlington’s core, Tokyo Station offers authentic Japanese dishes and a wide selection of games and claw machines, making it a tasty and fun dining spot for families exploring Front Street. 
  • Library Discover Summer- Keep kids curious and entertained all summer with the Library’s Discover Summer program, featuring free storytimes, craft sessions and engaging activities designed to spark a love of reading and creativity. 
  • Theatre Arlington- Catch a show at Theatre Arlington, now in its 52nd season, offering professional performances in an intimate setting. “A Chorus Line” runs through June 22 and “I’m Proud of You” will take the stage August 8-24.  
  • Art Crawl- Embark on a family-friendly adventure through our vibrant public art scene with the Paths Public Art Trail. This self-guided tour leads you to colorful murals, interactive installations, and hidden gems perfect for snapping memorable photos with the kids.  

Live Music Under the Stars 

Kick off summer in style with Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s free summer concert series, bringing national, regional and local acts to the big stage in the heart of downtown. 

  • June 20Angel White: This Texas-based country singer-songwriter, fresh from the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, brings his smooth vocals and heartfelt lyrics to the Levitt lawn. 
  • June 21Arlington Juneteenth Celebration: One of Downtown’s biggest summer highlights returns for its fourth year! This free community celebration features headliner Big Sam’s Funky Nation, a high-energy New Orleans funk band that blends jazz, rock and hip-hop. Opening acts include Audacity, an all-girl DFW band bringing a mix of R&B and pop, and a powerful dual anthem performance by Arlington native Patreece Dade-Ohakam. Vendors, food trucks and great vibes make this an unmissable night. 
  • June 27 Tejano Queen Forever: A passionate tribute to Selena that always gets the crowd on their feet. 
  • July 3Light Up Arlington: Celebrate Independence Day with a concert by the Brad Thompson Band followed by one of the biggest fireworks shows in North Texas.
