Start Up and Go: CenterSpace Coworking expands footprint in Downtown Arlington

Now even more entrepreneurs, freelancers and start-up ventures can join the growing coworking scene in Arlington. CenterSpace Coworking recently announced an expansion of their footprint.

Brian Jones, co-founder of CenterSpace, gives us an inside look: .

Downtown Arlington:  Why did you decide to open a second location in Downtown?

 .

Brian Jones: We had a very large demand for more offices than we could support. We were lucky that an office space became available for lease around the time we were looking to expand. It's very close to our E. Main location, so we jumped on the opportunity.

 .

DA:  What are the amenities in the new space?

 .

Brian: The new space is offices only. We have six offices, a conference room, a kitchen, and a small lounge/greeting area at the front.

 .

DA:  Why do you think there is such a high demand for flexible workspace in Arlington and in Downtown in particular?

 .

Brian: We have seen that there is a very large demand for affordable offices in the Downtown area, particularly for startups and smaller companies that can't afford to commit to a 2-3 year lease.

 .

DA:  What kind of businesses are involved in CenterSpace Coworking?

 .

Brian: In addition to Cadmus Dental, we have a variety of businesses in our community including insurance, real estate, computer programmer/developers, IT consultants, tax professionals, lawyers, and financial planners.

 .

DA:  What does the future of coworking look like?

 .

Brian: Although nobody can say for sure, the industry appears to be growing all over the world. We just need to show that Arlington is open and available.

 .

DA:  The CenterSpace location on E. Main hosts the first-ever mural of the Downtown Arlington Mural Project and the Downtown Arlington Urban Art Movement. Tell us about your experience working with artist Trey Wilder.

 .

Brian: Trey did an amazing job of capturing what we are trying to do with CenterSpace and the wider entrepreneurial scene in Arlington. Our goal is to connect people so they can create great things.

 .

We're honored that the Downtown Arlington Management Corporation chose us to host the first mural project in Downtown.

 .

DA:  Is there anything else you'd like to add?

 .

Brian: We have a couple offices still available! If you are looking for space, whether it's an office or coworking, come on by.
