There’s no place like Arlington, Texas for the holidays! In addition to the Texas Christkindl Market in the Entertainment District, the Lights of Interlachen, and other city-wide traditions, Downtown Arlington has all kinds of very merry ways to get into the spirit.

 

Holiday Traditions, Arlington Style

 

If you’re planning to attend the Arlington Holiday Lights Parade (of course you are) on December 14, come early for kids activities – including pictures with Santa -- from 2:00-5:00 p.m. in and around the Downtown Library, Center Plaza and City Hall. The parade begins at 6:00 p.m. and tree lighting is immediately following at 7:00 p.m.

Downtown remains the epicenter of holiday traditions in Arlington, particularly when great live music is involved. At the Arlington Music Hall, you’ll love Symphony Arlington’s Holiday Concert on December 19 plus a variety of seasonally-inspired shows including Wynonna & The Big Noise Rockin’ Roots Christmas, Will Hearn’s Grand Ol’ Christmas Show, Chris Milyo Big Band Swingin Christmas, Blue Christmas Starring Al Joslin, and of course, the AMH Christmas Spectacular.

 

UT Arlington offers musical and entertainment options too, including the UTA Wind Symphony Concert, Percussion Ensemble, UTA A Cappella Choir Concert, VIA DANCE, and the UTA University Singers presenting an evening of holiday music on December 3.
