More Spirit, All Maverick: UTA Homecoming Welcomes All to Maverick Country

Every fall, The University of Texas at Arlington holds a orange, white and blue party that everyone is invited to attend!

 

UTA Homecoming 2019 takes place from November 4-10 and includes a week packed with beloved traditions, including the Distinguished Alumni Awards and other alumni events, the Homecoming 5K Walk/Run/Roll, Homecoming Street Festival and Parade, Pep Rally, the big games, and much more. Decorate Downtown

 

READY. SET. DECORATE! UTA student organizations are teaming up with businesses in Downtown Arlington to decorate their storefronts to let everyone know it's Homecoming week. Cast your vote for the most spirited business on the UTA Homecoming Facebook page for the Peoples’ Choice award. A Judges Choice award will be announced at the Homecoming basketball game. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4

 

UTA Men’s Basketball Home Opener

Join UTA Basketball for their home opener when they take on UT Dallas at College Park Center.

 

FRIDAY-SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8-10

 

Movin’ Mavs and Lady Movin’ Mavs Homecoming Wheelchair Basketball Tournament

Top college men's and women's teams from around the U.S. go head-to-head in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association Intercollegiate Division Regional Tournament. The tournament will feature several Paralympians, World Championship players, and USA National Team members.

 

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8

 

UTA Volleyball vs. Arkansas

Join UTA Volleyball for Military Appreciation Night as they take on Texas State at College Park Center. All military personnel receive two complimentary tickets to the match. Just show your military ID at the box office for your tickets.

 

Distinguished Alumni Awards

The UTA annual awards dinner is a night where distinguished alumni are recognized for their individual achievements, contributions to their industries or professions, service to their community, and demonstrated loyalty to their alma mater.

Homecoming Golf Tournament

A four-person golf scramble with fellow Mavericks to kick-off Homecoming day. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, prizes, and 18 holes of golf at Waterchase Golf Club for only $55 per person or $220 per team.

 

UTA Homecoming Run/Walk/Roll

This year’s Homecoming route is a scenic one throughout the UTA campus. All proceeds will go to the UTA Emergency Assistance Fund.

 

UTA Women’s Basketball Home Opener

Come cheer on the Lady Mavericks at College Park Center as they take on Chicago State.

 

UTA Homecoming Street Festival

Take it to the streets, Maverick style! Celebrate Homecoming at the annual Street Festival, featuring a variety of exciting activities. Enjoy fun games, complimentary food and drink, a live DJ, street performers and more.

 

Parade and Pep Rally @ Spaniolo Drive

This year’s Homecoming Parade starts with a grand production number not to be missed. After that, the parade procession commences with floats, marching bands, special guests, and UTA’s traditional decorated golf carts. See if you can spot the car with the biggest display of Maverick spirit (that’s a trick challenge; it’s going to be one long cavalcade of Mav Mania). It all winds up with a pep rally in front of College Park Center.

Come watch the Maverick men’s basketball team demolish the Tulsa Hurricane at College Park Center.

Don’t let construction on Abram St. get you down. There’s still plenty of free street parking and the garage at 101 Center. Download Waze for free and see real-time traffic, find optimal routes, and avoid road closures. Or skip parking altogether and hail Via Arlington ride share for only $3, Uber, or Lyft.
