It's an [Art] Date!
It's a wonderful thing when Theatre Arlington shows coincide with Arlington Museum of Art exhibits. It makes for a perfect date night.
This week, we suggest spending time on the 'other side of the tracks' - Main St. in Downtown Arlington.
Start off by stopping at the Arlington Museum of Art to see Artists in Motion, an exhibit showcasing costumes from the Texas Ballet Theater and Dance Theatre Arlington. Paintings, pastels, sketches and studies by local Donray are also on display. Donray's work is colorful and embodies the grace and movement of life.

After the museum closes at 5 p.m., head on over to restaurant506 at The Sanford House off of Center St. for a three course, pre-theatre dinner. Early seating begins at 5:30 p.m. and reservations are recommended. If you're a crab cake fan like me, you can't go wrong with the Pecan Crusted Crab Cake with Asian slaw and drizzled with a Southwestern Pesto.
Once your belly is full, head on over to see Enchanted April at Theatre Arlington. The tale follows two women who become friends after realizing they are both unhappy in their marriages. The women embark on a vacation to Italy and learn the importance of living in the moment.
An evening of art and culture in Downtown Arlington will definitely impress your significant other and confirm that you are, in fact, a Renaissance man (or woman).
