Free Music, Free Movies, Free Memories: All in a Season’s Work at the Levitt Pavilion

The 2024 Levitt Pavilion line-up is one for the books! This season’s entertainment is packed with a combination of events and programming and returning fan-favorites. From free concerts to movies nights to cultural celebrations and more, there is something for everybody! So, let’s get to it:

Here’s 5 things to do this Levitt Pavilion season.

1. Anniversary Movie Nights

This year marks the anniversary of several classic films, and the Levitt Pavilion is helping celebrate the special occasion. Tuesday, March 12th through Thursday, March 14th at 7:00 p.m., spend your Spring Break enjoying the beautiful weather and watching these familiar favorites: “Forest Gump,” “The Mummy,” and Disney Pixar’s “Up.” Anniversary Movie Nights will connect multiple generations of families and friends as 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of Forest Gump, the 25th anniversary of The Mummy, and the 15th anniversary of Up.

2. DreamFest 2024

Save the date for the two-day festival, DreamFest 2024 on Friday, April 26th starting at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 27th starting at 4:00 p.m. Last year’s event was a huge success with thousands of people from all over the metroplex heading to Arlington to enjoy all the fun. This year’s festival is bigger and better! Extended to a two-day event, DreamFest includes a range of games, food, entertainment, and talented performers, such as Memphis Soul, Chloe Jobin, Pugh Funk, Marissa Chibli, and the Tejas Brothers

3. Total Eclipse of the Park

2024 is a special year, for not only is it a leap year, but it’s also the year of the Great North American Eclipse. The eclipse will trace across 13 U.S. states with Arlington scheduled to be in the path of totality for over 3 minutes! Join us on the Levitt lawn on Monday, April 8th, starting at 11:00 a.m. as we dance to a live DJ, enjoy a variety of food trucks, and tilt our head up to watch one of nature’s greatest sights, the total eclipse of the sun! Free solar eclipse glasses, courtesy of the City of Arlington’s Parks and Recreation Department, will be provided to the first 3,000 guests.

4. Juneteenth Celebration

The Levitt Pavilion’s heritage festivals began three years ago as a celebration of Arlington’s culturally diverse community and the University of Texas’s designation as the fifth most ethically diverse undergraduate university in the nation by U.S. News and Report. This year’s festivals continue this tradition, kickstarting with the Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 15th starting at 4:00 p.m. The Levitt opens at 4:00 p.m. with music going grom from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. There will be food trucks, vendors, and other activities around the lawn.

5. Free Concerts Galore

In addition to all these amazing signature events, the Levitt Pavilion’s normal schedule continues, featuring live music from all genres. The free concert series opens on May 3rd with artists Aaron Copeland and Jade Flores! Other artists include fan-favorites Grupo Fantasma, Jackie Venson, the Vandoliers, Jacob Stelly, Kaitlin Butts, Hayes Carll, Lone Star Skynyrd, and many, many more. Concerts are free, so all you need to do is bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and be ready to shop from amazing food trucks while dancing and singing along. Though events at the Levitt are free, please consider donating to help bring these events to life.
