Downtown Arlington Welcomes a Wave of New Businesses
Downtown Arlington’s streets are buzzing with new energy as several exciting businesses have opened or are opening their doors. From curated home fragrances to romance novels, thrifted treasures and delicious eats, there’s something new for everyone to explore. Here’s a look at some of the newest arrivals to our vibrant community.
Mama Cuca’s: Authentic Latin Flavors

Mama Cuca’s joins Downtown Arlington with bold, authentic Latin flavors. Located in the Sutton Frost Cary Building on Front Street, the restaurant brings fresh energy to the heart of the district. Guests can enjoy hearty dishes and house-made salsas inside, or gather on the outdoor covered patio overlooking Rotary Dream Park, a lively new spot to dine with friends and family.
Camia Rhea: A Home for Scent Lovers

Camia Rhea, a home fragrance brand founded by UTA student Camia, opened its doors in October 2025 and has quickly become a beloved spot on Front Street. Inspired by mood boards, community and the joy of scent curation, Camia creates unique collections that blend artistry and comfort.
Workshops are a standout feature at Camia Rhea, offering customers the chance to blend their own fragrances while enjoying complimentary wine and games. Camia says one signature scent, Evening Ritual, embodies Downtown Arlington with notes of pink pepper, tobacco leaf, rum, and vanilla bean—a soft, sophisticated fragrance that reflects the district’s charm.
Looking ahead, Camia plans to launch a monthly candle subscription featuring themed scents and collaborations with local businesses, continuing to bring her passion for fragrance to the community.
Daydream: Coffee Meets Romance

For Alma Sardas, UTA alumna, romance novel enthusiast and owner, Daydream is the realization of a long-held dream. Tentatively set to open this spring, Daydream is a cozy, inviting bookstore and café that combines a love of books and coffee.
Front Street’s vibrant energy made it the perfect spot for Daydream, providing a welcoming environment for small businesses and giving readers and students alike a space to pause, unwind, and lose themselves in a good book.
“The moment I toured the space, I knew it was the one. It immediately reminded me of what I would’ve wanted when I was a student at UTA: a place that felt welcoming, inspiring, and full of possibility,” Alma said. “Front Street has such a vibrant energy, and it felt like the perfect place for Daydream to come to life.”
The store will feature a romance-only collection, from soft love stories to passionate pageturners, designed to create a personal and relaxing space for readers. Visitors can expect events like author signings, themed nights, book clubs and collaborations with other local businesses.
Mi Tesoro Thrift: Treasures Await

Mi Tesoro Thrift, owned by Beronica Jimenez, opened in November 2025 and celebrates the joy of discovery in secondhand shopping. From a childhood love of clothing and treasures to a thoughtful curation of items today, Beronica’s vision was to create an approachable, intentional thrift store where customers can take their time exploring and finding something meaningful.
The store’s name, Mi Tesoro, meaning "My Treasure", reflects both the treasures inside and Beronica’s pride in her Mexican heritage. Highlights include unique clothing, vintage finds and even occasional estate sale gems. Customers leave with more than just items—they leave with memories, stories, and a sense of joy.

“All the pieces are my favorite, but there's one that stands out for me. It was a 3D floral ceramic piece,” Beronica said when asked about her favorite find for the store. “I had it for so long that when it sold, I called my husband crying, in a good way. I knew it was going to a happy home.”
Future plans include community events, workshops, and perhaps a sewing club, ensuring Mi Tesoro remains a dynamic and welcoming part of Downtown Arlington.
Rocketbelly: A Space for Local Eats

Rocketbelly brings a fresh culinary option to Downtown Arlington. Known for their space themed restaurant with Texas' first self-serve bubble tea bar, the restaurant is familyowned and serves out-of-this-world chicken. The famous Rocket chicken is a cross between traditional chicken tenders and Japanese style chicken katsu. Rocketbelly is carving out a spot for food lovers looking for something casual yet memorable. The buzz around their reopening after moving to Abram Street has been undeniable.
With these new businesses opening in quick succession, Downtown Arlington continues to evolve into a destination for shopping, dining and community connection.
