Downtown Arlington Unleashes Celebration for Doggie Depot Grand Opening

We are excited to announce the official opening and ribbon-cutting of the Downtown Arlington Doggie Depot! Join us from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2025, at 105 N Mesquite St., Arlington, Texas, 76011. 

“Downtown Arlington continues to grow as a place where residents can live, work and play,” Mayor Jim Ross said. “The Doggie Depot is a perfect addition, bringing people together and strengthening our sense of community—one wagging tail at a time.” 

This momentous occasion marks the realization of a long-held vision to create a dedicated, off-leash space for Arlington’s canines and their humans. Thanks to the unwavering support of donors, community members and partners, the Doggie Depot is now a reality. 

“This park is a testament to what happens when a community comes together with a shared vision,” said Maggie Campbell, President and CEO of the Downtown Arlington Management Corporation. “While improving cleanliness of public spaces and solving problems of growth, the Doggie Depot builds community by providing a space for people –and pups– to connect.”

“This project has been a labor of love, fueled by the passion of so many people,” said Downtown Arlington Board Chair Doreen Bruner. “We’re grateful to our supporters for making the Doggie Depot a reality and creating a space where our four-legged friends can enjoy Downtown Arlington as much as we do.” 

This event will be outdoors with limited seating, so guests are encouraged to arrive promptly and dress accordingly. Dogs are, of course, invited! 

The Downtown Arlington Doggie Depot was made possible through the generous contributions of General Motors, the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, the City of Arlington Parks Department, Downtown Arlington and countless community donors.
