Downtown Arlington and Eighteen Venue Partners Announce Plans for First-Ever Ramblin’ Roads Music Festival

After a hot Texas summer, there’s nothing like the freedom of the first Fall road trip. Classic car. Windows rolled down. Music cranked up. Exploring back roads and playlists you’ve never seen or heard before. When you’re ready to take a break from driving, you find that perfect place to kick back. You know, the one where the locals go. As you order the specialty of the house, you spot that little stage in the back corner.

Oh, this is going to be great weekend.

In partnership with the Arlington Music Hall, Levitt Pavilion Arlington, Texas Live! and over a dozen small venue partners, Downtown Arlington announced plans today for a three-day, music-centric festival set for October 1-3, 2021.

Ramblin’ Roads Music Festival is a celebration of music, musicians, venues and events that evoke the Great American Road Trip. Rather than the typical music festival, Ramblin’ Roads will take place in multiple venues throughout Arlington while offering the convenience of one centralized ticketing platform. In addition to the three anchor partners -- Levitt Pavilion and Arlington Music Hall in Downtown Arlington, and Texas Live! in the Entertainment District -- fifteen small venues in Downtown will also host concerts throughout the weekend.

The 2021 Ramblin’ Roads Music Festival is the first event of its kind to take place in Arlington, which was designated in 2020 as a Music-Friendly Community by the State of Texas Music Office. In addition to three days of live music, the festival will also include complementary activities such as:

  • Classic Car Show
  • Urban Artisan Market
  • Youth Talent Showcase
  • Gospel Brunch

“Our vision for the Ramblin’ Roads Music Festival is to recreate that sense of discovery and freedom you get on a really great road trip,” said Maggie Campbell, President and CEO of Downtown Arlington Management Corporation. “By design, festival-goers will experience a variety of venues, activities and musical genres. Music ranges from rock, country, and americana to jazz, blues, tejano, and more. You’ll hear songs that you know, bands that you want to get to know better, and places that make you want to stay for another set.”
