Down to Business Workshop series launches February 1

On Small Business Saturday 2020, Downtown Arlington launched a free podcast called Down to Business. Today, Downtown Arlington is celebrating the on-going success of Down to Business by announcing a spin-off event series entitled Down to Business Workshop.

“Down to Business is an on-going tribute to the entrepreneurial culture that’s alive and well in the heart of our city,” said Maggie Campbell, President and CEO of Downtown Arlington Management Corporation and host of Down to Business. “From start-ups to long-standing favorites and everything in between, our podcast features interviews with the entrepreneurs who drive Downtown’s diverse businesses.”

Launching on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 and continuing on the first Tuesday of each month, Down to Business Workshop is a monthly, in-person community learning series focused on connecting Downtown Arlington business owners and entrepreneurs with information and ideas to help take their business to the next level. Each “how-to” meetup will consist of guided conversations, hands-on demonstrations, and networking among attendees.

“Down to Business Workshop is a resource for the entire Downtown Arlington Business Improvement District community,” said Campbell. “Each month, local experts will serve as speakers and conversation guides, offering insights that are applicable to the kinds of businesses found in Downtown Arlington, including small and medium sized businesses, retail, personal services, and bars and restaurants. We’re excited to support the economic development activities of our BID through this new initiative.”
