Calling all photographers, show us your Downtown summer photos for a prize

Are you a hobby or professional photographer? Do you love spending your summer in Downtown Arlington? Do you want your work to be spotlighted in our blog and on all our social media platforms? And do you want to win $100? This contest is for you! 

Our Summer Survival Kit 2024 is all about helping everyone enjoy Downtown Arlington and all it has to offer. This photo competition aims to do exactly that by demonstrating what you enjoy doing downtown and sharing your work with our audience! 

Rules: 

1. MUST post the photos on your Instagram feed 

2. MUST tag @dtarlington on the post and use #DTAphotocontest  

3. MUST submit a minimum of 5 photos and a maximum of 10 

4. Photos MUST be taken in Downtown Arlington 

5. At least TWO photos must include a downtown business 

6. Photos must be your own.

7. Photo editing is limited to color, exposure, cropping and other editing basics, not including any form of Photoshop.

8. It’s a bonus if one of your photos includes one of our incredible Arlington Ambassadors helping keep our streets clean and safe! 

9. The competition ends August 7, and winners will be announced August 9

2. Post them on your Instagram feed and tag us @dtarlington  

3. Use the hashtag #DTAphotocontest in your caption 

4. Follow us on all social media to see when winners are announced August 9

Every entry:  

• Submissions following the rules will be featured on our Instagram

The grand prize is a priceless reward to help promote a local photographer. The first-place winner will be interviewed for a Downtown Arlington blog highlighting their journey and photography skills. The photographer's work will be displayed on every Downtown Arlington social media platform. A $100 VISA gift card will be rewarded in hopes of further funding the photographer’s work.  

Whether you are enjoying a show at the Arlington Music Hall, grabbing a bite to eat at Hurtado Barbecue or enjoying public art like the DREAM Sculpture, show us your favorite things to do downtown this summer and get your photography seen by our audiences!
