Printmaking Across Ages: Albrecht Dürer Techniques
Professor David Diaz

Printmaking at its most basic level involves the use of tools, the creation of a matrix, inking of the matrix, and then transferring that ink onto paper. An essential aspect of printmaking is the production of multiples pieces based on a matrix.

The focus of the lecture is to explain and demonstrate the intaglio and relief printing process. This involves understanding the printing press, inks, papers, registration systems, and the printing itself.
