Born on October 3, 1994, to Odell Bunton Sr. and Donna Bunton, Odell Bunton Jr. is the third oldest child and the second oldest son in a family of five. From an early age, Odell displayed a remarkable talent for singing, captivating congregations with his voice as part of the church choir. Under the guidance of his parents, he learned to dedicate his musical gifts to the service of the Lord.

Odell’s exceptional talent has earned him national recognition on several prominent television platforms. He advanced to the top 5 finalists on BET’s Sunday’s Best, showcasing his vocal prowess to a broad audience. Additionally, he made a significant impact on this seasons’ American Idol, where he was awarded one of the three platinum tickets and secured a spot in the top 20 contestants of this years’ season 22.

Odell’s personal life is as fulfilling as his professional one. He is a devoted husband to his wife Shataniqua Bunton of 9 years and a proud father of five beautiful children (Leilani, Avah, Melodi, Marcell, and Odell Bunton III). His commitment to his family is paralleled by his dedication to his faith and community. Odell currently attends The International Purpose & Destiny Center, where his parents serve as the Sr Pastors. Within this faith community, he holds the positions of Chief Minstrel and Praise & Worship Leader, roles in which he excels in leading and inspiring worship through music.

Odell’s dedication to his faith and his musical ministry is further enriched by the support and collaboration of his siblings, Zaquisha, Mathew, Johnathan, and the cherished memory of Oddessty Bunton, who transitioned to be with the Lord in 2021. Together, they form a dynamic and spiritually uplifting team within their church.

Caleb & John are proving that joy and hope belong at the center of Christian music.
