Summer continues to sizzle with free concerts at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington! Coming your way this weekend:
FRIDAY 7/2: Mike & The Moonpies (with Joey Green)
Headliner: In the years since Mike and the Moonpies became established as Austin’s premiere dance hall band, they’ve expanded their musical footprint far beyond the Lone Star State, trading the “two-steppin’ twang” of the early years in favor of a sound both fresh and familiar. The band’s current album, the London Symphony Orchestra-backed “Cheap Silver and Solid Country Gold,” offers songs that “diversify the band’s honky-tonk roots by adding lush strings, cinematic arrangements and collaborative songwriting to the mix.”
Opening Act: An alumni of NBC’s The Voice, Texas native Joey Green has become well known for his “rock ‘n’ roll to soul country rollercoaster ride of a live show.” He’s currently celebrating 20 years in the music business with a Texas Regional Radio Chart hit, “Old Timers,” and a new album slated to release this fall.
SATURDAY 7/3: Infinite Journey (with Tom Sless)
Headliner: The 80s called, and they want you to come to the Levitt this Saturday! Join Dallas-based Infinite Journey for a musically immersive, high-energy experience featuring the sound and soaring vocals that make Journey so iconic. Infinite Journey is often noted as one of the best tribute bands in the business, which is probably why they’ve opened for acts like Night Ranger, Loverboy, Starship, Kool & the Gang, KC and the Sunshine Band, and Sister Sledge.
Opening Act: With “ceaseless creativity and a passion for song,” country rocker Tom Sless creates music that “evokes his disappointments, hopes, joys, and loves,” delivered with a vibe reminiscent of Luke Combs, Sturgill Simpson, and Donovan Woods.
All shows begin with an opening act at 7:30 pm (unless otherwise noted); headliners go on at 8:30 pm. Well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome, but please consider concert volume with respect to your pet’s sensitive ears. Follow the Levitt on social media or visit the Levitt website for weather updates, FAQs, and tips for nearby dining.
