Kin Faux is a high-energy Texas/Red Dirt Country band based in San Antonio, known for electrifying performances. Drawing from influences like Charlie Daniels, Alabama, and Restless Heart, their sound blends virtuosic fiddle, harmonies, guitar solos, and a strong rhythm section.

Originating from Michigan’s industrial heartland, the band’s music reflects the struggles of working-class America. Rico Gonzalez, a native Texan, moved to Michigan in 2015, where he met Dan Currier. They later joined forces with Jakey Black IX and Ross Barkey to form Kin Faux, quickly gaining a loyal fanbase in Michigan.

By 2018, they were named Best Country Band by Review Magazine, with Rico winning Best Country Musician, and began collaborating with industry veterans like Bobby Randall and Bernie Nelson.
