7:30 PM – Cash Byers & Big Valley

Sam “Cash” Byers is a full-time singer songwriter, with nearly a decade of experience and a lifetime of musical practice. Born with a song in his heart and a deep passion for music, on New Years Day in 2019, Cash decided to leave his career in healthcare and dedicate himself to chasing the dream of building a career in music. If you asked him why, he would say that he “only ever saw people on the worst times of their lives in EMS, and with music he can help create some of the best.” Since, founding the Big Valley band, Cash and his boys have performed hundreds of shows across the country for crowds both big and small. In his own words, “I believe that performing music in a live setting is nothing short of a spiritual exercise and that each show presents lessons that I must decipher and learn from. No two shows are ever the same, so when I’m on stage I always pour myself into the songs I play, as well as the people listening to them. I approach every performance with the same goal: to finish the night better at my craft than when I started.”

8:30 PM – Kat Hasty

Kat Hasty was writing songs before she could put a pen to paper. “All l ever wanted was to be a writer. Everything else was an afterthought,” said Hasty. “I never knew I would go on tour or be part of the business. I was just writing to deal with life.” Raised, and still rooted in West Texas, her songs have been shaped by the desolation of the desert, the rough and rowdy crowd that comes through these small oil towns, and early signs of depression and an ever present sense of melancholy. Her breakout moment arrived with 2021’s “Pretty Things,” a song that took off online and led to touring the US and Europe, accolades in press and a distribution deal with Thirty Tigers. Her first EP, Drowning in Dreams, resonated far beyond what she could have imagined and earned her a wave of dedicated listeners. Now, Kat is stepping into a bold new era with her debut album, “The Time of Your Life” which arrived on May 16th this year. The album marks her first full-band project and a significant departure from the stripped-down acoustic style that introduced her to the world. The Time of Your Life is more akin to the energy of her live shows, embracing a full band accompaniment while still holding tight to the West Texas perspective that sets her apart.
