Yo Ho Ho! Look for Downtown’s Jolly Holiday Float in This Year’s Arlington Holiday Lights Parade

On the five days of Christmas my true love gave to me...
Five gold doubloons
Four merry pirates
Three wooden legs
Two Jolly Rogers
And a parrot in a pear tree.

Arlington Holiday Lights Parade

The Arlington Holiday Lights Parade is a beloved tradition in Downtown Arlington. The parade is planned and produced by a devoted group of local volunteers. If you’re planning to attend the Parade (of course you are) on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 6pm, be sure to watch for Downtown Arlington’s parade entry! Hint: we’re putting a fun spin on what it means to have a Jolly Holiday.

Christmas Tree Lighting and Photos with Santa at the Levitt

In addition to the parade, your family can enjoy a number of fun holiday activities while you stake out your viewing spot along the parade route. At the Downtown Library, kids’ activities start at 3:30 p.m. and include photos with Santa, storytelling, and other Reindeer Games.

The Levitt Pavilion serves as center stage for all kinds of fun events, including the traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony and Photos with Santa which take place right after the Parade. The full schedule at the Levitt includes:

  • 4 pm: Elf Show with Miss Persis Studio of Dance
  • 4:30 pm: Storytime with Mayor Ross
  • 5 pm: Christmas Carols with John & Sara DeMore, Tamara King and Jessie Spradlin
  • 6 pm: Parade begins
  • 7 pm: Tree Lighting on Founder’s Plaza
