Family Movie Night and Free Music Under the Stars

Thursday, June 13: Family Movie Night returns with Sing-Along Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again!  the perfect opportunity to belt out your ABBA favorites. In 1979, young Donna, Tanya and Rosie graduate from Oxford University, leaving Donna free to embark on a series of adventures throughout Europe. On her journeys, she meets Harry, Bill and Sam. She falls in love with Sam, but he's also the man who breaks her heart. In the present day, Donna's daughter, Sophie, dreams of renovating her mother's taverna while reuniting with her mother's old friends on the Greek island of Kalokairi. Rated PG-13.

 

Friday, June 14: The Bright Light Social Hour brings their transcendent, experimental sound to the Levitt. The band released their third album this year, integrating elements of shoegaze, Krautrock and New Wave into the band's experimental sound.

 

Saturday, June 15: Bri Bagwell, contemporary country artist with a honky-tonk heart and a romantic streak. Bagwell competed on Country Music Television's Next Superstar, then followed that up by being named Female Vocalist of the Year by the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards in 2013 and 2014. Her most recent album, In My Defense, was released last year and includes the single, "If You Were a Cowboy."

 

Sunday, June 16: the Levitt welcomes Jenny & the Mexicats. This quartet got their start playing on the streets and in venues throughout Spain, performing an international fusion of sound that mixes jazz rhythms, rockabilly, folk, flamenco, reggae, Veracruz, country and cumbia. Their first album went gold with a combination of songs in English and Spanish.
