As of today, we are 66 days out from THE 2014 Downtown Arlington Center Stage Music Festival, the official kickoff of the Levitt Pavilion season. After dealing with icepocolypse and the polar vortex, I think it is safe to say we are ALL looking forward to some FREE music under the stars.

If you've never been to a concert before, make sure you come prepared with your blankets, chairs and coolers. Alcohol is allowed, just no glass please. KoolKeg is just around the corner and is fully stocked with what you're looking for (they're owned by the Kramerovs who also ownHooligan's Pub - we like to keep it local). If you're looking for some good grub, the Levitt crew has got you covered. They're offering burgers, grilled chicken, quesadillas, Irish nachos and veggie burgers from our hometown favorite J. Gilligan's and hot dogs, nachos, ice cream, snow cones, soft drinks, kettle corn and homemade lemonade from MountainTop Sno.

The summer concert series offers FREE music Wednesday - Sunday beginning May 23. Wednesday's usually feature a children's concert in the morning at 9:30 a.m. and evening at 7:30 p.m. Trust us, the whole family will enjoy these!

We're so grateful for the hard working Levitt staff and volunteers who help bring over 50 free concerts to Downtown Arlington every year. If we want to keep high quality music in Arlington, our community has to help out when we can. Click here to find out how to donate via online or mail. Or simply bring some extra cash and put in the bucket at the next concert you attend.

But wait...there's more!

The Levitt has ONE concert every year that requires a ticket to help subsidize the cost of putting on all of those free concerts. This year, it is going to be held at UT Arlington College Park Center on October 4 and guess who the band is??

THE DOOBIE BROTHERS!!
