ROOTED: Celebrating 20 years of Downtown Arlington at Annual Meeting, Presented by Texas Trust

Join us Nov. 19 at College Park Center as we celebrate two decades of putting down roots, growing together and building a vibrant downtown.

Twenty years of memories. Twenty years of community. And plenty of reasons to celebrate what’s growing next.

Downtown Arlington is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and we’re marking the milestone at our 2026 Annual Meeting, presented by Texas Trust, with a theme that gets to the heart of what makes downtown special: ROOTED in Downtown Arlington.

Presented by Texas Trust Credit Union, this year’s Annual Meeting will bring together the people, businesses and community partners who have helped shape Downtown Arlington over the past two decades. We’ll celebrate the foundation we’ve built together, recognize the people who continue to invest in downtown and look ahead to the future we’re growing side by side.

Every thriving downtown has roots. They’re found in the small businesses that become neighborhood favorites, the events that bring people together, the artists who make a place more vibrant, and the community members who show up year after year.

For 20 years, Downtown Arlington has worked to cultivate those connections, creating opportunities for people to gather, experience local arts and culture, support businesses, and build lasting memories in the heart of the city.

Our ROOTED theme celebrates the people, places and experiences that have shaped downtown into what it is today. It’s also a reminder that strong roots make room for new growth. As we celebrate this milestone, we’re looking forward to everything the next chapter holds for Downtown Arlington.

A new venue, plus a few fun additions

This year’s Annual Meeting marks our first time gathering at UTA’s College Park Center, and we’re excited to celebrate this milestone in a new, iconic space.

Students from UTA’s College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs (CAPPA) will also join us to showcase their downtown-focused work. Stop by to explore their projects and see how students are imagining downtown’s future.

We’re also adding a couple of fun touches to the experience with our first dedicated coffee and photo booth sponsors. Guests can enjoy a coffee break courtesy of SFC and capture memories at the photo booth sponsored by J. Gilligan’s.

Because what’s a 20th anniversary without a few photos to remember it by?

Whether you’ve been part of Downtown Arlington’s story for years or are joining us for the first time, this is an opportunity to connect with the people helping shape downtown’s future and celebrate the community that makes it all possible.
