Get your motor running and join your fellow classic car enthusiasts for the Ramblin’ Roads Classic Car Show on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.! Presented by Downtown Arlington and sponsored by Frost Bank and General Motors, the show takes place in and around Vandergriff Town Center, 200 Mesquite Avenue, in Downtown Arlington.

The deadline is Friday, Sept. 24 to enter your classic car or truck in the show, so don't delay! Click here to register.

While the public is welcome to come by and swoon over the cars on display, don’t you really want enter your own sweet ride? This Classic Car Show welcomes all makes and models of cars and trucks manufactured in or prior to 1972. We’re offering all kinds of prizes too, including:

Enter your car or truck for only $25 per vehicle. Proceeds benefit Green Oaks Education and Support, Inc. Space is limited, so register today!

Start the Journey Youth Voice Competition

Are you ready for the spotlight? The Ramblin’ Roads Music Festival invites aspiring young vocalists from across the DFW metroplex to enter the “Start the Journey” Youth Voice Competition.

Due to popular demand, we’ve extended the application deadline from Sept. 15 to Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:59pm. Now’s the time to enter!

Applicants will compete for the title of Best Vocalist in one of four musical genres. There will be one winner from each genre who will receive a cash prize of $250 and one grand prize winner that will receive an extra $500. In addition to the cash prize, each winner will receive a recording session at a professional recording studio, Cove Studio, and an opportunity to perform live as an opening act at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington.

“Start the Journey” invites artists ages 14-19 to submit an application and audition video in one of four musical genres:

• Country

• Pop

• Rock (Folk, Bluegrass)

• Urban (Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Gospel)

Of the entries submitted, sixteen (16) outstanding vocalists will be selected by a panel of music professionals to advance to a finalist competition performance open to the public on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Arlington Music Hall.

To be eligible, you must complete your entry between now and September 20 at 11:59pm. All artists aged 14-19 are welcome to apply. To be eligible, artists must submit a complete application including demographic information, a headshot, and an unlisted YouTube link to a 90-second audition video of a song of the applicant's choosing. There’s no fee to enter.

On September 21, the sixteen (16) finalists will be announced. Finalists will be notified via the contact information provided in the online application. Details about the finalist competition performance on October 3 will be shared at that time.
