Downtown Arlington transforms into creative hub for West Main Arts Festival

West Main Street will transform Downtown Arlington into a vibrant hub of creativity and culture on Saturday, September 20, 2025, as the West Main Arts Festival returns for its highly anticipated 9th annual celebration of art, music and community.

From noon to 7 p.m., the free, family-friendly festival will take over the historic West Main Street corridor between City Hall and the Levitt Pavilion, just steps from the Downtown Arlington Public Library.

A Festival Like No Other

Known as one of Arlington’s largest and most eclectic arts festivals, the West Main Arts Fest brings together 70+ visual artists, 25+ local musicians, food trucks, artisan vendors and interactive activities in a dynamic street festival atmosphere.

“This isn’t just a festival—it’s a celebration of Arlington’s creative soul,” said festival founder and Create Texas director Mark Joeckel. “Whether you’re discovering new music, buying art, or just soaking in the energy of our downtown, there’s something for everyone here.”

What began as a small neighborhood gathering has grown into a 6,000-strong crowd of art lovers, collectors, foodies and fans ready to support small businesses and makers.

Festival Highlights

  • Three live music stages featuring jazz, rock, indie, acoustic and youth performances
  • 70+ artist booths with painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, jewelry and more
  • Interactive art zones for kids and families
  • Live painting demos, murals and workshops
  • Local food trucks and craft vendors offering everything from tacos to cold brew

Since its creation in 2016, the West Main Arts Festival has attracted 45,000+ attendees and generated over $500,000 in local economic impact, proving the arts are a powerful force for building connection and community in Arlington.
