Don't Delay! Apply Today! "Start the Journey" Youth Voice Competition Application Deadline Sept. 20

Are you ready for the spotlight? The Ramblin’ Roads Music Festival invites aspiring young vocalists from across the DFW metroplex to enter the “Start the Journey” Youth Voice Competition.

Applicants will compete for the title of Best Vocalist in one of four musical genres. There will be one winner from each genre who will receive a cash prize of $250 and one grand prize winner that will receive an extra $500. In addition to the cash prize, each winner will receive a recording session at a professional recording studio, Cove Studio, and an opportunity to perform live as an opening act at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington.

Don’t Stop the Music  

“Start the Journey” invites artists ages 14-19 to submit an application and audition video in one of four musical genres:

• Country
• Pop
• Rock (Folk, Bluegrass)
• Urban (Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Gospel)

Of the entries submitted, sixteen (16) outstanding vocalists will be selected by a panel of music professionals to advance to a finalist competition performance open to the public on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Arlington Music Hall.

To be eligible, you must complete your entry between now and Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:59pm. All artists aged 14-19 are welcome to apply. To be eligible, artists must submit a complete application including demographic information, a headshot, and an unlisted YouTube link to a 90-second audition video of a song of the applicant's choosing. There’s no fee to enter.

On Sept. 21, the sixteen (16) finalists will be announced. Finalists will be notified via the contact information provided in the online application. Details about the finalist competition performance on October 3 will be shared at that time.
