Catalyst for Creativity

There are a lot of layers to the "catalyst" of Catalyst Creative Arts, an arts studio in Downtown Arlington along the northern edge of Urban Union. Through its myriad of creative parties, corporate events, after school programs, summer camps and private lessons, Catalyst Creative Arts has inspired many aspiring artists of all ages. From the earliest weeks of the pandemic, the studio became a catalyst for creativity at home by offering art kits to-go and for home delivery. Artist Jaime Marum, managing owner of Catalyst Creative Arts, makes magic happen for clients by creating gorgeous custom pieces such as large-scale paintings, murals, signs and much more.

Now Catalyst Creative Arts is serving as a catalyst to showcase local artists by hosting a curated art show and market. The 2nd Annual Art Market, from 1pm-6pm on Saturday, November 7, will feature the work of eight multi-talented artists including Trey Wilder, Greg Westfall, Tschaner Sefas, Lauren Lewchuk, Cliff Baise, Caleb & Kelly Geer, Joellen Randall and Jaime Marum.

The styles, range and forms of artwork being presented is impressive. Pieces available for purchase will include acrylic and oil painting, screen printing, mono printing, pottery, woodwork, mixed media, paper art, resin and jewelry making.

Music will be provided live by Sky Trio.

"The Art Market is a great opportunity to support your local art community," said Jaime, "by discovering the talent of artists in your area, making some great purchases of gifts for others or for your home, and enjoying the afternoon at a cool spot in Downtown Arlington's Urban Union."
