Cafe Americana Announces Grand Opening in Downtown Arlington

Arlington at Heart, Cocktail in Hand

Cafe Americana is the brainchild of a collective of friends who wanted to bring their love of food and beverage from around the world to the community. Mark Guatelara, former Chef de Cuisine at Cut & Bourbon, and mastermind behind the acclaimed Filipino food truck, Ober Here, joined forces with award-winning mixologist, Gregory “BootlegGreg” Genias and prolific Chef de Cuisine, Wendy Felix. This dynamic international team and their investors founded Cafe Americana as an homage to America and its pioneering spirit.

Cuisine Unlike Anything You’ve Seen

Cafe Americana has influences from around the world steeped in Spanish traditions with a distinctly exotic flair. Featuring tapas and family-style shareable plates; the menu includes Argentinian steaks, paellas from Spain, flaky empanadas, and more, all with a unique Texas twist! The gambas al ajillo — juicy shrimp cooked in garlic and olive oil — is a must-try! Chef Felix’s desserts, including a ten-layer coconut cake drizzled with rum and pineapple sauce, are the epitome of delicious decadence.

Craft Cocktails Curated to Perfection

BootlegGreg’s cocktails are hand-crafted daily. Familiar beverages are enhanced with an elevated twist, like Americana Ranch Water with prickly pear or an Exotica Margarita made with guava, mezcal, and a freshly-zested salt rim. Cafe Americana’s show-stopping version of an Old Fashioned — the Texas Oil Money — is made from a homemade saccharum (Texas orange peels, brown sugar, and spices). As a tribute to Texas, the bar will be stocked with spirits and beers from local distilleries and breweries.

An International Oasis in DFW

Step into Cafe Americana to be transported to a laid-back, tropical paradise. Its vibrant, yet soothing green walls, impressive collection of plants and art inside this chic, industrial space are reminiscent of your favorite getaway. Sip on a cocktail in the cozy Sugar Cane Room, sit at the expansive bar to watch the chefs cook in an open kitchen, or nestle into a table along the wall with church pews as seats. As guests dine and drink, they will be swept away by expertly selected music designed to awaken the senses. Vibey background tunes accompany happy hour and dinner, and on weekends rhythmic live music starts at 8:00pm. Tables can be pushed back, and Cafe Americana transforms into a vibrant space where guests can dance the night away, have fun, and make lasting memories.
