All aboard! Watch or park & ride to the game from Downtown Arlington

If you take ride-sharing services, you’re probably familiar with the concept of surge pricing -- where the price of a ride goes up during peak times in demand. And if there were ever peaks in the making, ask any Dallas Cowboy or Texas Ranger fan about traffic and parking in and around AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Park on home game days.

But there’s good news, sports fans! Thanks to several Downtown Arlington partners, you can reverse the high cost and inconvenience of the surge without missing a minute of the action.

Watch Party central

Texas Ranger and UT Arlington faithful have known it for years, but since the Cowboys came to town in 2009, more and more intercollegiate and professional sports fans have discovered that Downtown Arlington is the "unofficial official" Fan Central. Its super-convenient proximity to AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Park and College Park Center (home of both the UTA Mavericks and WNBA Wings) makes Downtown the perfect pre-game launch pad, watch party spot, and post-game meet-up.

With our wide variety and growing number of restaurants, pubs and craft beer breweries, there’s also someplace for every taste. Check out our list of Downtown restaurants and pubs.

Game day shuttles to the rescue

Have tickets to the game? Have we got a deal for you! Several Downtown Arlington partners – including J. Gilligan’s Bar and Grill, Maverick’s Sports Grill, Grease Monkey Burger Shop and Social Club, and First United Methodist Church – offer game day shuttles to AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Park that are economical and incredibly convenient.

“We took the shuttle from Grease Monkey to the Stadium,” said Claude, a faithful Dallas Cowboys fan. “We got there a couple hours before the game, had lunch and a drink, then hopped the shuttle. The driver told us exactly where to meet him after the game, and it worked like clockwork. And it was only $5 per person!”

More ways to connect

In addition to these event-driven shuttle services, the Arlington Trolley and the Metro Arlington Xpress (MAX) provide regular service to Downtown Arlington from the Entertainment District. Follow the links for routes and more information.
