Painted on Wellspring on Main is a large, colorful mural which wraps around two sides of the building’s second story. Renowned artist AmandaLynn created the mural in conjunction with the 2019 KAABOO Texas music and arts festival, which was held at AT&T Stadium in the Arlington Entertainment District. It took the artist four days to complete it. She incorporated monarch butterflies, stars, an armadillo, and a cowgirl to symbolize the natural environment, rich culture, and joyful spirit of Texas.
“When I paint a mural in a community, I do research in advance so I can tie in to local themes, including floral and fauna,” said Amandalynn. “The monarch is the official state butterfly of Texas, not to mention they migrate through the state. The armadillo is Texas's official small state mammal. And how can you go wrong with a cowgirl? I hope that people get joy out of my work.”
