Since Fall 2015, the intrepid and infinitely curious journalist, author, and proud Arlingtonian O.K. Carter has been making the rounds in Downtown Arlington. His series of casual and compelling conversations called Arlington On Tap has attracted hundreds – probably thousands – of attendees over the years to hear thought-provoking talks on a variety of hot local topics. Here’s the twist: they take place at local watering holes, bars and pubs in Downtown.
Arlington On Tap has boasted several sponsors over the years, including the Arlington Historical Society, Arlington Proud, and Arlington Today Magazine. Now Downtown Arlington is the presenting sponsor of the series.
What’s On Tap for 2020? Storm chasing, politics (which can be like storm chasing), and 10 years of chasing the dream at the Levitt Pavilion. You won’t want to miss a single one!
Fort Worth Business Press columnist O.K. Carter is a former editor and publisher of the Arlington Citizen-Journal and was also Arlington publisher and columnist for the Star-Telegram and founding editor of Arlington Today Magazine. He’s the author of the definitive book on Arlington’s colorful history, Caddos, Cotton and Cowboys: Essays on Arlington.
