Dearest Gentle Singer… This author has it on the most reliable authority that an afternoon most extraordinary is forthcoming: one which all of North Texas society shall be quite unable to resist.
Opera Arlington, the DFW Metroplex's beloved grassroots opera company, cordially invites the good people of North Texas society to an afternoon of romance, intrigue, and sublime music. On Saturday, April 26th at 3:00 PM, the acclaimed women-led company will host Spilling the Tea: An Afternoon Tea served with Whimsy, Music, and Delights at the elegant rooftop gallery at Wellspring on Main in Arlington, Texas.
Inspired by the romantic world of Bridgerton, this enchanting fundraiser event promises an afternoon worthy of the Ton itself: four rising opera stars from the DFW Metroplex performing arias and songs of passion and peril, all presided over by the irrepressible arbiter of opera’'s most treasured secrets, the one and only Lady Warbledown. Guests shall be regaled with small bites, sparkling wine, and tea… and perhaps a whispered scandal or two.
Gracing the stage are four voices that this author can assure you are nothing short of extraordinary: Lara Lignitz, Dylan Elza, Kelsey Korman, and Yonghyun Kim.
Each of these remarkable artists represents the very finest of emerging operatic talent in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex: precisely the kind of musicians Opera Arlington was founded to celebrate, uplift, and empower.
In addition to jollity and frivolity for all, this afternoon tea offers the vital opportunity to support the lifeblood of our city’s arts community. Opera Arlington seeks to raise $5,000 in support of its mission to educate, inspire, and empower artists and audiences across Arlington and the greater DFW community. As a women-led, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization sustained by the generosity of its community, Opera Arlington relies upon patrons of discerning taste and generous spirit to raise the curtain on its enriching programming for all.
Until we meet again, dear singer, I remain, as ever, your most faithful chronicler of all things operatic, grand, and gloriously scandalous.
Lady Warbledown
