Celebrate First Thursday as the final strokes are added to Downtown Arlington's newest mural, a dedication to the National Medal of Honor Museum. We invite you to watch artist and veteran, Juan Velazquez, paint the mural in real-time. This mural is generously sponsored by the Greater Arlington Chamber Veteran's Business Council. From 5:15-5:30pm we'll hear remarks from the Curnutt & Hafer founders, National Medal of Honor Museum CEO Chris Cassidy, Arlington Mayor Jim Ross, and Greater Arlington Chamber CEO Michael Jacobson. No RSVP needed — just stop by! Parking and Location: Curnutt & Hafer's newest building, 311 W. Abram, will be open for visitors to visitors. Parking will be available behind both Curnutt & Hafer buildings. The live mural painting is part of Downtown Arlington's First Thursdays initiative. Meet the Artist Renowned muralist and U.S. Army veteran, Juan Velazquez, is based in Fort Worth, Texas. He began his mural painting career in 2020 and has since created over 150 murals across Texas, as well as in California and Colorado. Notably, he gained recognition for his tribute mural to U.S. soldier Vanessa Guillen, which garnered widespread attention and led to numerous commissions. Check out Juan!
